St. Peter's Basillica

Posted by
Ragnar (Moss, Norway) on 4 September 2009 in Architecture.

We didn't bother to try and enter the basilica, the line was about a 1000 meters long, and it was over 30 degrees outside (and we had just spent 6 hours inside the Vatican museum). The square outside is extremely large and I can just imagine the spectacle it will be when it is filled up with catholics there to praise the pope!

I like the angle you shot this from. You really showed the depth and width of the plaza. Nice job. What a wonderful trip you had! I love the dialogue you add to all your shots.

@Marilyn: Thanks! We did have a wonderful trip. I still have pictures from all over Italy (And Dubrovnik in Croatia) that will be posted in my blog. I like to add a few words to my pictures, because that is the way I love to look at other peoples pictures. If there is a few facts or some funny notes about what I am looking at, I can enjoy the picture a lot more.
