The cold beachPosted by Ragnar (Moss, Norway) on 1 April 2010 in Landscape & Rural. I am not sure how this picture is going to turn out. My laptop is in for service and I have edited this picture on my 10.1" netbook screen with Olympus Master and Paint.net (OMG I miss my laptop and CS3...)! This picture is taken about 50K outside of Tromsø, at a place called Breivikeidet. It is basically just a ferry stop and nothing more. But it has a beautiful beach and view some stunning mountains in Lyngen, not shown on this picture (I will put up some pictures of them as soon as I get my laptop back). Thank you so much for looking at my photoblog. If you have any questions about me or my pictures, please, do not hessitate to contact me at r.gjemmestad(at)gmail.com

@Hoshisato: Thank you! I was quite intrigued with the lines in the sand. It almost looks like it is made by humans, but it is actually made by the tidal water withdrawing from the beach (we where there when the tide was at its lowest) Kristine from NorwayIf it had not been for the snow, one could actually think this was some place warm. 1 Apr 2010 7:29pm @Kristine: Ask the dog.. He thought it was a perfect temperature to take a bath, so we had to call him back several times, preventing him from running inn to the ocean. DarkElf from Perth, Australiaexcellent composition and a nice visual contrast between the earthy tone of the foreground and the cold blue of the mountains in the distance! 2 Apr 2010 6:21am @DarkElf: Thanks! I am going to re-edit the picture from the raw-file when I get my laptop back, and see if I get a better result. I have looked at the picture on my wifes laptop, and it is to much blue, and might be a bit bright for my taste. |
